As a Louisville native I’m thrilled to be back home and at Hosparus Health in the role of President & CEO. I previously spent 15 years at Hosparus serving in key leadership roles, including chief operating officer.  Most recently, I served as CEO of Carolina Caring, a nonprofit hospice and palliative organization located in North Carolina.

In my new role, I look forward to building on Hosparus’ history of compassion and quality care.  Healthcare and the needs of those in our community are changing quickly, so we must change.  I look forward to finding new and innovative ways to meet the needs of all who face serious illness in Kentucky and Indiana.

I am passionate about the hospice model of care.  However, not all who need support are ready or eligible for hospice services.  Our goal is to take a holistic and person-centered care approach to individuals who don’t fit the hospice model.  Louisville has always been a national leader in healthcare innovation.  Hosparus must be a leader for those facing serious Illness, and I am honored to lead this challenge.

Over the next weeks and months, I plan to visit our community locations throughout our 41 counties.  I’ll also be meeting with staff, board members, providers, and others who support the Hosparus mission to learn the specific needs in each community.

It’s no doubt that 2020 and 2021 have been an unparalleled challenge for our nation, but I am beyond thankful for each one of you and your continued support for Hosparus Health and its mission. It’s an honor and a privilege to be able to lead such a respected organization.
