Senior Fundraising Campaign Director Beth Hobson (pictured left) and Hosparus Health Board Member Cathy Zion (pictured right) were recognized for their noteworthy contributions to philanthropy at the 2022 Greater Louisville Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) annual National Philanthropy Day Awards Ceremony on November 18, 2022.

Beth received the Frank W. Penick Founder’s Award for her work over the past 20 years in development. This award is presented to an individual that has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to the advancement of the development profession. Beth joined Hosparus Health in 2017. In this role, she oversaw the $24 million People of Compassion comprehensive campaign. Under her leadership, the campaign exceeded its goal and raised more than $29 million.

Cathy received the Baylor Landrum Jr. Leave a Legacy Award. This award is given to publicly recognize the importance of planned gifts. As a Hosparus board member, Cathy champions philanthropy while holding responsibility as a fiduciary agent for the organization. She understands the importance of raising dollars for the annual fund as well as ensuring the long-term viability of organizations gained through planned bequests and played an integral role in securing millions of planned giving dollars during the People of Compassion campaign from 2017 to 2021.
