Free training on December 7 for new volunteers ready to make a difference in the lives of those in the community facing serious illnesses.

(CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY) — Hosparus Health Green Rivera leading nonprofit committed to providing compassionate care to individuals facing serious illnesses, is calling for dedicated individuals to support its mission by donating their time and talent. The organization is hosting its final in-person training session for new volunteers in 2023 on Thursday, December 7, from 8 to 11:30 a.m., at 462 N. Bypass Road in Campbellsville.

“For the last 45 years, volunteers have been instrumental in helping our organization improve the quality of life for patients and families in our community,” said Volunteer Manager Corey Wilson. “This holiday season, we invite individuals to join us on this fulfilling journey of compassion by using their gifts to help others.”

Hosparus Health’s community office in Green River supports people of all ages across Adair, Campbellsville, Green, Marion, Taylor, and Washington counties, regardless of financial circumstances. With a variety of opportunities to choose from, volunteer managers work closely with each volunteer to identify the role that’s right for them.

“We believe that the volunteer experience at Hosparus Health is truly like no other, and we are excited to welcome new individuals into our dedicated community,” added Wilson. “Whether providing companionship, supporting our pediatric Kourageous Kids program, or contributing behind the scenes, our volunteers play a crucial role in making a positive difference during challenging times.”

Perspective volunteers should apply at hosparushealth.org/volunteers before the training. Those unable to attend in December can apply now and register for a later session. All volunteers must meet health requirements and provide documentation of COVID-19 vaccination before starting.

For questions or general information about other volunteer opportunities at Hosparus Health, contact Corey Wilson at cwilson@hosparus.org or call 270.789.4247, ext. 3664. Wilson concluded, “We hope you’ll join us and experience for yourself the profound satisfaction of contributing to the well-being of others during a crucial time in their journey.”
