A special weekend retreat where traditional camp meets important grief work for bereaved families with children. This unique experience provides an opportunity for families to gather, enhance their resilience, and rediscover hope.

Good company, good food, and good conversation including:
• quality family time in a beautiful setting
• family-building and cooperative games
• specialized grief workshops
• traditional campfire
• remembrance ceremony

Camp Details

The camp is open to any bereaved family, with children ages 6-18.
The Country Lake facility is more like a resort. Families stay together in their own rooms and have their own bathrooms. All meals and snacks are provided.
Registration fees start at $100 for a family of two, and each additional family member is only $25. Scholarship assistance is available for families based on need.

Camp Evergreen is facilitated by licensed professional counselors from the Hosparus Health Grief Counseling Center and trained volunteers.

Camp Evergreen is made possible through the generous support of the WHAS Crusade for Children and Kosair for Kids, as well as other corporations, groups and individuals. Registration fees cover only a portion of the expense of this program.
