Ruth Simons

Dr. Simons is pleased to be part of the interdisciplinary team at the Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center, providing expert palliative care to patients and families coping with the challenges of terminal illness. As a respected clinical instructor and director of hospital-based palliative programs, she has provided unparalleled leadership in the delivery of compassionate, comprehensive care.

She is board certified in hospice and palliative medicine and internal medicine, and serves as a gratis faculty member at the University of Louisville. She has a master’s degree in speech pathology from the University of Toronto and earned her medical degree from UofL. She completed her internal medicine residency and palliative medicine fellowship, also at UofL. She is a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and the Greater Louisville Medical Society.
