Join us on March 14th and discover rewarding ways to support patients and families facing serious illness in your community.

(ELIZABETHTOWN, KY) — Hosparus Health Central Kentucky is excited to invite the community to a Volunteer Information Event at the Grayson County Public Library on Thursday, March 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees at this event will have an opportunity to learn about the various volunteer positions available, ranging from companionship visits, veteran recognition programs, and even helping at the Hosparus Health Thrift Shoppe in Elizabethtown.

“Come and meet people who do incredibly rewarding volunteer work,” said Hosparus Health Central Kentucky Volunteer Manager Annette Jones. “Our volunteers are compassionate people who lend an understanding ear and caring heart to patients and families at a difficult time in their lives. We invite everyone interested in making a difference to join us and explore the rewarding opportunities available.”

Hosparus Health is a nonprofit organization that offers hospice and palliative care support to patients and families facing serious illnesses in Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue, and Meade counties. Founded by volunteers over 45 years ago, they remain at the heart of the organization to this day. Volunteer managers work with everyone to find a role that suits their interests. While some volunteers provide companionship to patients and respite for their caregivers, others participate by helping in the Thrift Shoppe or using their crafting skills as part of the CareMakers program. There’s a role that’s suitable for everyone.
