Hosparus Health Announces New Thrift Shop Opening in Louisville
Store opens May 26 at Outer Loop Plaza, offering affordable secondhand goods while supporting local families facing serious illness
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 11, 2026) — Hosparus Health will open its new Hosparus Health Thrift Shop on Tuesday, May 26, at 7521 Outer Loop in Louisville’s Outer Loop Plaza. The store will offer affordable secondhand clothing, accessories, home goods, décor, and other unique finds, creating a new shopping and donation destination for local residents while supporting compassionate care for patients and families across Kentucky and Indiana.
“The success of our thrift shops in Elizabethtown and Campbellsville showed us how powerfully communities respond when they have a simple way to support our mission,” said Tawanda Owsley, senior vice president of development at Hosparus Health. “We are proud to bring that opportunity to Louisville and confident this community will make our first store here a success.”
Hosparus Health serves more than 14,000 patients and families each year through hospice and palliative care, grief counseling, and other essential services. Revenue generated through Hosparus Health thrift shops helps strengthen that work by providing an additional source of community support for the organization’s mission to deliver compassionate, person-centered care throughout the region.
The Louisville store joins existing Hosparus Health thrift shop locations in Elizabethtown and Campbellsville, expanding the organization’s retail presence and giving local shoppers another convenient option to purchase quality secondhand items close to home. The new location is expected to serve bargain hunters, frequent thrifters, and donors looking for a practical way to support care in the community.
Shoppers can expect a wide selection of gently used clothing and accessories, home goods, décor, and other distinctive items, with inventory changing regularly to offer something new throughout the week. Store hours will be Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donation drop-off hours will be Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hosparus Health welcomes donations of gently used clothing, accessories, home goods, and décor during designated drop-off times, giving community members an easy way to contribute to the store’s ongoing inventory and support patient care at the same time.

Volunteer Opportunities Available
Hosparus Health is seeking volunteers age 16 and older to support the new thrift shop by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and assisting shoppers.
