Free luncheon at Pennyroyal Market will highlight volunteer opportunities supporting local hospice patients and families.

Hosparus Health is inviting individuals who want to give back to their community to learn how they can support patients and families facing serious illness at an upcoming Volunteer Open House.

The event will take place Friday, April 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (CT) at Pennyroyal Market, 2459 Mount Victor Lane in Bowling Green. Attendees can enjoy a free lunch, meet members of the Hosparus Health team, and explore ways to get involved in supporting hospice patients and caregivers throughout the region.

Volunteers play a vital role in the organization’s mission by offering companionship, caregiver relief, administrative support, and other services that bring comfort and connection to those facing serious illness.

“Many people are surprised by the different ways volunteers can support patients and families,” said Tiffany Hinton, Volunteer Manager for Hosparus Health. “Whether it’s offering companionship, helping caregivers, or assisting our staff, volunteers bring comfort and connection when it’s needed most.”

The open house will give attendees the chance to hear about volunteer roles, ask questions about training and scheduling, and connect with others who share a passion for serving their community.

Hosparus Health volunteers support patients and families throughout the Barren River region, including Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, and Warren counties.

The Volunteer Open House will be held at:
Pennyroyal Market
2459 Mount Victor Lane
Bowling Green, KY
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

No prior experience is necessary, and training is provided. Attendees are encouraged to drop in at any time during the event to meet the team, enjoy lunch, and learn more about becoming part of the Hosparus Health volunteer family.

Hosparus Health will also host a free volunteer training session on April 24 from 9 a.m. to noon at its Bowling Green office, 101 Riverwood Avenue, Suite B.
