(LOUISVILLE, KY) — Hosparus Health, a leading care provider for those facing serious illnesses, held a successful fundraiser at The Olmstead last evening honoring caregivers, thanking donors, and recognizing community partners for their contributions to Louisville’s top nonprofit organization. This exclusive event paid tribute to the tireless efforts of those who have supported Hosparus Health’s mission to enhance the quality of life for all members of the community.

A Celebration of Compassion, presented by Republic Bank Foundation, raised $150,000 towards the construction of the Harshaw Family Grief Counseling Center. Located on Ephraim McDowell Drive in Louisville, this center offers over 7,000 square feet of spacious amenities. It includes specialized therapy rooms, offices, and gathering spaces, and is surrounded by over 60,000 square feet of calming gardens, walking paths, and outdoor meditation elements. Construction on the project is on track for completion by the end of 2023. The new space will serve as a place of healing and hope for individuals in the community who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

Rachel Platt, Mistress of Ceremonies, and her sister, Pam Platt, shared their experience with Hosparus Health and the holistic care the organization provides to over 10,000 patients and families annually across 41 counties in Kentucky and Indiana. The evening focused on shining a light on the caregivers, supporters, and volunteers who work to ensure these services are accessible for all those facing serious illness, regardless of their ability to pay.

The evening recognized the following individuals whose dedicated efforts and contributions have significantly impacted the mission of Hosparus Health and the communities it serves.
