Where Can I Donate Medical Equipment and Supplies?

If you or someone you know has leftover medical equipment and supplies at home, but you aren’t sure what to do with them, donating is a great option. Donating leftover medical equipment can support our mission: to enhance the quality of life for those impacted by serious illness. These are a few options available to you:

Donate to Hosparus Health’s Medical Supplies department: We accept many unopened and unexpired medical supplies, including:

• Drainage/Irrigation—irrigation trays, suction catheters, yankauers
• Dressings – gauze pads/rolls, elastic, bandages, wound dressings, dressing kits, medical tape
• Gloves—surgical and exam
• IV—administration sets, IV catheters, winged infusion sets, epidural supplies
• Mobility Aids—wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, canes
• Needles/Syringes—all types and varieties, sharps disposal containers
• Nursing Aids—dressing aids, under pads, anti-embolism stockings, diapers
• Ostomy—pouches/bags, barriers, stoma powder/deodorizer
• Personal Hygiene—body wash/ shampoo, toothpaste, combs/brushes, washcloths (all unused)
• Respiratory – nasopharyngeal, resuscitators, nasal cannulas, endo/trach/bronchial tubes
• Skin Prep –alcohol pads, iodine applicators, soap, scrub brushes, lubricating jelly
• Urinary – catheters, catheter trays, drainage bags, skin prep items, specimen containers

WE CAN NOT ACCEPT: feeding tubes, oxygen tanks, or large medical equipment such as hospital beds, lift chairs, etc. 

To donate your supplies to our medical supplies dept, call (502)-456-6200. Or drop them off at our main building located at 6200 Dutchman’s Lane during office hours.

Donate to the Hosparus Health Thrift Shoppe: for items we aren’t able to accept in our medical supplies department, or that are classified as larger home items, you may be able to donate to our thrift shoppe. Our Elizabethtown location accept wheelchairs, potty chairs, and shower benches.

Donate to other organizations: For items we cannot accept at our office or Thrift Shoppes, several options are available:

• Supplies Over Seas. They accept medical equipment and are another great option that can help people have access to care needs in both local and international communities. You can learn more about how to donate here.

• Places of worship
• Homeless shelters and safe houses
