Dr. Thomson is excited to be working alongside the Barren River care team to enhance the quality of life for seriously ill patients and their families, and ensure every patient gets the compassionate care they deserve.
Dr. Thomson is a pulmonologist and critical care physician who has practiced in the Bowling Green community for 30 years. He also serves as the medical director for the Barren River District Health Department and is their Tuberculosis control officer. He earned his medical degree and public health degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received additional medical training at Geisinger Medical Center and The Ohio State University. Dr. Thomson is board certified in internal medicine , pulmonary medicine , critical care and sleep medicine.
