Dr. Jennifer “Jen” Turpen (she/hers) is a hospice and palliative medicine physician dedicated to advancing compassionate, inclusive care for patients facing serious illness. She believes every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and respected, especially during vulnerable moments in health care—and she works to ensure care delivery reflects those values.
Board certified in family medicine and hospice and palliative medicine, Dr. Turpen brings an osteopathic, whole-person philosophy that recognizes the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed her family medicine residency at Deaconess Family Medicine Residency, and her hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Turpen is an educator and advocate focused on strengthening end-of-life communication and expanding equitable access to high-quality palliative care, particularly for historically underserved communities.
