How we’ll help.
Kourageous Kids offers two specialized care programs. Our team will work with you to determine which option best supports your child’s unique needs and goals.
Services May Include:
• Care coordination and medication management
• Support for symptoms such as pain, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, shortness of breath, and restlessness
• Counseling and spiritual support for patients, siblings, and families
• 24-hour access to an on-call nurse, chaplain, and social worker
• Referrals to other community agencies and support resources
Palliative Care Program
This program provides medical, emotional, spiritual, and social support for children and loved ones affected by serious illness. It focuses on relief of symptoms caused by serious illness and is provided alongside of existing specialized medical management. We may work with your care teams to coordinate care based on your goals.
Hospice Care Program
This program offers the same compassionate support for children whose illness has progressed and whose life expectancy is estimated to be six months or less. Hospice care can also be provided while your child continues receiving other treatments and services.
We’ll work to ensure you can pay.
Kourageous Kids accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and many private insurance plans.
Thanks to generous community support, we care for all eligible children regardless of their families’ ability to pay. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.

Referrals to the Kourageous Kids program are accepted 24 hours a day. Parents may call us directly, and we will coordinate with the child’s physicians. Healthcare providers are also welcome to refer patients.
