Mayor Greenberg to Join Hosparus Health for Groundbreaking of the Region’s First Hospice Care Center
- News
WHAT: Hosparus Health will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the region’s first and only standalone Hospice Care Center, joined by Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg. This milestone project will ensure that patients facing serious illness receive the highest level of compassionate, expert care in a setting designed for comfort, dignity, and peace.
At nearly 30,000 square feet, the Hospice Care Center will feature 21 private patient suites, family gathering areas, a serene chapel, and tranquil outdoor spaces. Located alongside the nonprofit organization’s recently opened Harshaw Family Grief Counseling Center, the new facility will bring inpatient care and grief support together in one centralized campus.
The $13.2 million project is being funded primarily through philanthropy. Thanks to generous community support, Hosparus Health has already raised more than $10 million toward the total cost and continues to engage donors and partners to bring this center to life.
WHEN: Tuesday, September 16, 2025 | 10:00-11:00 a.m.
