David Cook, MBA, is Chief Executive Officer of Hosparus Health, one of the nation’s largest community-based nonprofit providers of hospice, palliative, and advanced illness care. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer of Everent Health, an organization formed by Hosparus Health and Bluegrass Care Navigators to strengthen and support mission-driven providers serving patients and families facing serious illness.

With more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience, David has expanded access to hospice, palliative care, and grief support services across Kentucky and Indiana. He played a key role in launching Everent Health in 2025, bringing together established nonprofit organizations to strengthen long-term sustainability, shared learning, and innovation across community-based care providers.

From 2018 to 2021, David served as President and CEO of Carolina Caring in North Carolina, where he expanded service offerings and led the development of Cardinal Kids, a community-based pediatric palliative and hospice program designed to better support children and families.

David serves on the board of the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation and is actively engaged in advancing the future of nonprofit, community-based care. He also serves on the boards of the Healthcare Innovation Alliance, Responsive Care Solutions, and the Kentucky Association of Hospice & Palliative Care, and is Chair of the Kentucky PACE Association.

David earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting, and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University. A native of the Kentuckiana region, he resides in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife, Bonnie, and their three sons.
