Joe is the Program Manager and a Counselor bringing over 40 years of experience as a licensed clinical professional and certified thanatologist. He oversees a program of support that offers a variety of opportunities for those grieving loss to learn, to grow, and to connect with others, expanding their network of support. Together with his team, he is passionate about elevating the importance of grief, promoting it as a healthy and necessary reaction and a healing response to loss. Joe is known for his expertise with coping with life-threatening illness, end-of-life, loss, and grief, and for his creative and sometimes unusual approaches to these serious and important life experiences. His work combines art therapy, education, traditional counseling, and ritual to help others better navigate what is one of the most important challenges they encounter. He credits his training as an Expressive Therapist for looking at these challenges as a creative opportunity.
